Color in the interior: YELLOW

Using color in the interior needs great responsibility, because it can influent your life. Psychologists say that each color has specificity in using. One can make you more energetic or exhausted. Let's look what YELLOW mean and how it can be used in decorating your home.
Nothing illuminates a décor like yellow, the color of the sun, of light, of summer. In matters of decoration, yellow is your strongest ally when it comes to brightening a dark room or one that faces north.
In advertising, yellow is used to attract the eye. Publishers of telephone directories (Yellow Pages) understood the phenomenon a long time ago. And New York cabs are yellow.
Yellow draws people's attention. It is used to flag potential danger on our highways: traffic lights turn yellow (amber) before turning red, road signage used to forewarn us of construction work and other dangers are yellow as are double lines used to prohibit passing.
Yellow is bright, happy and stimulating. It is associated with intellect and the expression of thoughts. It improves memory, judgement and the capacity for decision-making. Yellow also promotes the assimilation of new ideas and the capacity for understanding varying points of view. Moreover, it seems that yellow helps people become more organized and to adopt an optimistic attitude, something one can appreciate in any room.
But yellow does have a less positive side to it. It is associated with illness. Seagoing ships, for example, reserved their yellow pavilions as quarantine quarters. Yellow is also associated with cowardice and newspapers that exploit sensationalism.
  So, in general:
Positive meaning of yellow: Optimism, confidence, self-esteem, extraversion, emotional strength, friendliness, creativity.
Negative meaning of yellow: Irrationality, fear, emotional fragility, depression, anxiety, suicide.
The yellow wavelength is relatively long and essentially stimulating. In this case the stimulus is emotional, therefore yellow is the strongest colour, psychologically. The right yellow will lift our spirits and our self-esteem; it is the colour of confidence and optimism. Too much of it, or the wrong tone in relation to the other tones in a colour scheme, can cause self-esteem to plummet, giving rise to fear and anxiety. Our "yellow streak" can surface.
Due to all named factors I propose such using in the interior.
Firs of all, avoid using yellow in decorating bedroom. This room is created for rest, so most af bright colors are not for this place. However, using mild tones of yellow can make warm atmosphere and fulfil you with energy in the morning.

Secondary, yellow is good for decorating your worcplace. Put it on the place that needs most of your attention, and your never forget about it. Moreover, this color will stimulate your brain to work.

Talking about kitchen, yellow is very wide used in its decorating.
Mmm... Tasty yellow kitchen.

Most of children are fond of bright colors, in this case yellow is created to decorate their rooms. But, remember that, if your child is hyperactive, bright yellow should be avoided. You don’t necessarily need to paint all the walls in order to give your child’s bedroom a fresh, new look. Maybe all you need is to create an accent wall and repaint the trim in a different color. Or maybe you want to be bold and paint your child’s bedroom door in a bright color or the front panels of her dresser drawers.
If you are not sure which colors are combining with yellow better, visit Colorcombos library, there you can find many color schemes to use.

Don't be afraid of experiments.
Add color in your life!
